MoneySafety Privacy Policy
Effective as of: October 4, 2025
MoneySafety is an offline‑first app for personal finance tracking. We follow data‑minimization and transparency principles. The MoneySafety developer acts as the data controller and can be reached at [email protected].
1. What data the app processes
- *Data you enter: accounts (currency, name, balance), transactions (amount, date, account, category, note), categories, shopping lists, analytics period settings (day/week/month/year/custom), week/month start, interface language/theme.
- *Device‑local service data: local record identifiers (UUIDs), timestamps, counters for in‑app review prompts (
ReviewRequestService). These never leave your device.
- *iOS diagnostics (optional): system crash logs may be sent to *Apple if you enabled this in iOS settings. We do not receive personalized diagnostic data and cannot associate it with you.
- *Support conversations: your email address and the content of your message when you voluntarily contact [email protected]. We only use this information to answer and resolve your request.
We do not request access to contacts, location, photos/camera/microphone; we do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) or third‑party trackers/analytics SDKs.
2. Where and how data is stored
- *Locally: all your data is stored in a *Core Data database on your device.
- *Optional iCloud synchronization: if enabled, your data is mirrored via *CloudKit (the Private Database of your Apple ID). Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on Apple’s servers. The developer *has no access to the contents of your private CloudKit database and cannot read or extract your records.
3. Purposes of use
- providing core app features (income/expense tracking, shopping lists, categories);
- showing analytics for selected periods;
- personalizing non‑intrusive settings (language, theme, start of week/month);
- improving the app experience (local counters for review requests);
- handling support inquiries and feedback.
4. Sharing with third parties
We do not share your personal data with third parties. No advertising, third‑party analytics, or cross‑app tracking mechanisms (including AppTrackingTransparency/IDFA) are used.
